Irrespective of what you might have heard, prayer is not some dry and boring religious thing that you do especially when you are desperate but rather, prayer is communicating to your father in heaven. Prayer is that divine connection that helps you experience the supernatural buy connecting to the supernatural God. The Healing Hand of God visited me
These are all lies from satan and you cannot afford to listen to it. You see, without prayer, I wouldn’t be here today. I experienced a spiritual attack that manifested as a severe nosebleed even though I have never had a nose bleed in my life. It was so bad that I even had to go to the emergency services. However through prayers from my spiritual parents, mentors, family and my own audacious faith, God brought a supernatural healing to me. Truly, Prayer is so powerful because it has saved my life on so many occasions and if you would just spend some time cultivating a prayer altar, you too will experience the supernatural hand of God.
How to build a powerful prayer Life
As I have said building a strong prayer life is very important. So, here are some tips that could guide you on your path to building this powerful prayer life that you seek.
- Understand how to actually pray. Books such as Understanding the purpose and power of prayer by Dr Myles Munroe will help kickstart the process for you.
- Spend consistent time reading the word of God and getting to know the heart of the father.
- Spend time away from distractions and pour out your heart to God. Even spending 20 to 30 minutes and build up to 1 hour every day will really help you a lot.
- Find a Christian community that can support you in both your prayer life and your journey as a young woman in general. You can check out Queens of Virtue who are raising an army of young Christian women.
- Join a prayer group especially as you are still trying to build a prayer life and join the prayer meetings consistently. When you do this, you’ll find that the appetite to pray will begin to increase more and more.
- Keep a prayer journal as you build your altar of prayer. When you write out your prayer requests to God, it can help you stay focus and will also allow you to look back overtime and you will see how God has answered your prayers. Use this journal to record specific prayers, answered prayers, revelations from God and anything in general that God begins to speak to you about.
- Have a dedicated space and time for prayer. By having a dedicated space, you are building an altar and the holy spirit will always show up at your altar. Also by having a specific time, you create a routine for prayer and this helps you to become consistent in prayer which means you’ll begin to rise more in power and authority in the things of the spirit and the natural.
